Description:

The department seeks undergraduate research assistants who will be participating in a NASA sponsored research project. The research tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Learn and study the cavitation in centrifugal pumps.
  • Purchase pumps and associated parts to perform experiments.
  • Conduct data collection and analyses.
  • Manage lab equipment and spaces.
  • Report to the supervisor, weekly.
  • Generate a publication at the Utah Academy of Science

Duration: This task shall be completed by Dec.15, 2021

Qualifications:

The applicants need to have and demonstrate understanding of college fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, physics, and basic engineering principles. To be considered as an undergraduate student researcher, the applicant must have a GPA of 3.0 or better.
